Defense Minister Netanyahu to meet with security chiefs

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu heads to Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv for meetings with top security officials.

The meeting comes after Netanyahu became defense minister earlier today following Avigdor Liberman’s resignation last week in protest of a ceasefire to end fighting with Palestinian terror groups in the Gaza Strip.

A spokesman for Netanyahu says the premier will meet with IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, his nominated successor Aviv Kochavi and Shin Bet head Nadav Argaman.
