IDF to test Gaza-area rocket sirens
The IDF says it will test the incoming rocket alert sirens in Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip on Monday morning.
At 9:05 a.m., sirens will sound in the Yad Mordechai, Netiv Ha’asara and Mavki’im communities, as well as near Zikim beach and the southern industrial area of Ashkelon, which are just north of the Strip.
In the event of a real rocket launch, the sirens will sound twice, the army says.
The IDF says the test is part of the military’s regular training schedule and is meant to maintain the “fitness and readiness of the troops.”
