Iraq asks NATO to tell Turkey to pull its troops from Mosul

The Prime Minister of Iraq, Haider al Abadi, turns to NATO and asks the treaty to use its authority to instruct Turkey, a NATO member, to pull its troops from Iraqi territory, Reuters reports.

Iraq earlier this week was outraged after a Turkish battalion arrived near Mosul. Ankara said the Turkish soldiers entered the country ahead of a battle against Islamic State.
