Israel pans Vatican decision on Palestine
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Foreign Ministry says it is “disappointed” by the Vatican’s decision to officially recognize the state of Palestine.
“We’re disappointed by the decision taken by the Holy See,” a Foreign Ministry spokesperson tells The Times of Israel. “We believe that such a decision is not conducive to bringing the Palestinians back to the negotiating table.”
The spokesperson says the ministry will study the treaty and consider its steps.
