Knesset secretary alleges fake voting by MKs
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe secretary of the Knesset complains that several MKs voted in place of fellow legislators who were not present during the deliberations on a bill to expand the cabinet.
Voting fraud in the Israeli parliament is a criminal offense.
According to Channel 1’s Knesset reporter Daniel Ofir, Zionist Union MK Ksenia Svetlova was not present during the vote, and a different lawmaker voted in her place.
