Liberman says world over-involved in Mideast conflict
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleDefense Minister Avigdor Liberman says if the world wants to help solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict they should simply “forget” it.
Addressing the US, the European Union, Russia and others, he tells the a security conference in Tel Aviv that the international community’s “over-involvement” in the conflict does not help to solve it.
The Palestinians do not have the “capacity” to sign a peace agreement with Israel on a purely bilateral track. A lasting treaty could only happen in the framework of a regional arrangement, he says.
