A man in his 60s is seriously wounded as a result of a rocket impact in the southern city of Netivot, medics say.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service says the man is in moderate-to-serious condition after sustaining shrapnel injuries, and he is being taken to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.

MDA adds that its medics are scanning other parts of the city where rockets were reported to have landed.

Earlier, Palestinian terrorists launched a barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip at Netivot and nearby towns.
