Netanyahu says higher virus fines coming
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleNetanyahu warns that he will support significantly upped fines for coronavirus restriction violations at a cabinet meeting on Sunday.
Health Minister Yuli Edelstein has been pushing for the move as a deterrent against schools and businesses opening against regulations.
“I’ll bring up a dramatic rise in fines,” he says.
He later adds that Israel’s has been successful with the virus, so “we should not waste that success.”
