New poll shows yet again that Gantz-Lapid union could beat Likud

A Channel 13 election poll tells us things we already knew, but adds to the collection of polls all pointing to the potentially dramatic political shift that could take place with an electoral alliance between Benny Gantz’s Israel Resilience party and Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid.

The poll shows each party’s support as follows, with Likud still in the lead and Gantz still a distant (but slowly rising) No. 2.

Two parties, Orly Levy-Abecassis’s Gesher and Tzipi Livni’s Hatnua, fail to make the 3.25-percent electoral threshold.

However, Channel 13 then asks how respondents would vote if Gantz and Lapid united in a joint list. The answer puts the Israel Resilience-Yesh Atid alliance ahead of Likud, at 36 to 32 out of the 120-seat Knesset.
