Policeman hurt in Mea Shearim scuffle over attacks on soldiers
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleResidents of the ultra-Orthodox Mea Shearim neighborhood throw stones and other items at police officers who enter the neighborhood Sunday to investigate a previous attack that targeted a uniformed IDF soldier.
One officer is lightly hurt from a stone hitting him in the head.
Police say residents set dumpsters on fire and attempted to block the roads.
The latest incident follows Friday’s arrest of 16 Haredi men in the neighborhood who were allegedly caught attacking an undercover cop dressed as a soldier.
