Putin says downing of jet will impact ties with Turkey
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleRussian President Vladimir Putin warns that the downing of a Russian jet over Syria by Turkish planes will have repercussions for Moscow-Ankara relations, AFP reports.
He says the jet was hit four kilometers inside Syria and did not pose a threat to Turkey’s airspace or forces.
Visibly angry, Putin accuses Turkey of funding Islamic State and “stabbing us in the back.”
