From Shaked: Abbas lies while Israel upholds Jerusalem status quo
Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked accuses Mahmoud Abbas of lying in his UN speech about the current tensions on the Temple Mount, even as Israel makes every effort to maintain the calm.
Abbas “stood on the stage at the UN and spread lies in every direction,” she says. “While Israel maintains the status quo on the Temple Mount to the point of absurdity with a ban on Jewish prayer, Muslim rioters turn the al-Aqsa Mosque into a warehouse for terrorism.”
Shaked vows that “Israel will do everything necessary to preserve its sovereignty in Jerusalem.”
