Shaked takes reins of New Right from Bennett
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSpeaking at a press conference in Ramat Gan, former justice minister Ayelet Shaked announces that she will be the new chairwoman of the New Right party, taking over for Naftali Bennett after the fledgling faction failed to cross the electoral threshold in April.
Introducing Shaked, Bennett says that the new party leader will seek to unite all parties to the right of the Likud and he calls on all of them to merge under Shaked’s rule.
“In the upcoming election, there had been no party led by a woman. Now there is,” she says.
