Technical teams to continue US-Iran talks in Switzerland as delegations prepare to leave

Following the departure of the Iranian delegation from the US-Iran talks in Burgenstock, the US, Qatari, and Pakistani delegations remain in Switzerland for now but are expected to depart soon, an official involved in the talks tells The Times of Israel.

The delegations are expected to leave behind technical teams that will hold further discussions throughout the week, the official says.

Following the first round of talks aimed at ending the conflict with Iran, which continued overnight, the Swiss Foreign Ministry says in a statement that the roadmap agreed upon “creates the conditions for the immediate resumption of new technical discussions.”

Doha stated overnight that “technical talks will continue for the remainder of the week at the Burgenstock resort on all issues.”
