US ambassador says Israel has right to self-defense
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro says that Israel has a right to defend itself from Gaza rocket fire, and that Washington is proud of the success of the Iron Dome, in which the US has invested tens of millions of dollars.
Shapiro was speaking to Israel Radio.
He also says that the US will not talk to Hamas, a terrorist organization, but will speak to other governments that can influence the group.
