Motor bike rider killed after colliding with car at Tikva interchange. Boy sustains injuries to head, rushed to hospital on respirator

A motorcycle rider aged around 30 died and an eight-year-old boy was seriously injured on Thursday in two separate traffic accidents in central Israel, medics said.

The motorcyclist sustained fatal head injuries when he collided with a car on Route 5 near to the Tikva interchange in central Israel.

He was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The boy was injured by a car on Route road 60 near Kfar al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Nablus in the West Bank.

He was taken to Beilinson hospital sedated and on a respirator, with injuries to his head and limbs.

The accidents continued a bloody week which also saw the death of a 16-year-old Nada Adbach of Haifa in a hit-and-run incident on Tuesday.

Police on Wednesday arrested the suspected driver, a 65-year-old resident of Haifa.

Adbach was laid to rest on Wednesday.
