Eleven Israelis were injured, one of them seriously, when their minibus overturned in a road accident in Argentina, Wednesday.

The Wednesday morning crash occurred due to reckless driving, a passenger said.

The Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires planned to send representatives to the hospital where the injured people were recovering. The seriously injured person suffered a head injury.

The vehicle, carrying only Israeli backpackers and a guide, was traveling near Espejo Lake, close to Bariloche in western Argentina, when the crash occurred.

One of the injured passengers told Ynet that the driver had been driving dangerously fast throughout the trip and had ignored pleas to slow down. When the minibus approached a sharp bend in the road too quickly, the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned.
