Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired a rocket overnight Wednesday into Israel, Israel Radio reported.

The rocket landed in an open field south of Ashkelon and caused no injuries or damage.

Thursday is Israel’s Independence Day, marking 64 years since the founding of the state.
