An angry crowd attending the funeral of two Islamic Jihad terrorists stoned an IDF lookout post adjacent to the border fence with Gaza and the troops opened fire in return, injuring three people, the Palestinian Ma’an news agency reported.

The IDF said the crowd drew close to the border fence and ignored warnings to retreat. The soldiers then fired warning shots. The IDF said it was looking into whether those shots caused the injuries.

The two Islamic Jihad members who were being buried were killed by an Israeli airstrike on Monday.
