A teenage boy took his father’s car out for a spin overnight Tuesday and crashed it into at least eight parked vehicles, causing significant damage.

The teen, 15, from the central city of Elad, does not have a driver’s license and is too young to hold one.

It was not immediately clear why he was driving the car.

Videos shared on social media showed a trail of devastation along a street, with smashed vehicles and debris spread out along the road as people milled about inspecting the damage.

The boy’s father was not aware that his car was taken, the Behadrei Haredim ultra-Orthodox news website reported. Elad is a predominantly Haredi city.

Some of the cars were so badly damaged that they will be written off, according to the report.

An eyewitness told the website that the car driven by the teenager “hit everything.”

“It was a miracle that it happened in the middle of the night and not at a time when there are people on the streets,” the woman said.

There were no reports of injuries in the incident and police have opened an investigation.
