The Israel Defense Forces launched a search on Monday for a Palestinian man who ran from soldiers in the West Bank.
The army said the suspect fled from his vehicle at a traffic stop near the settlement of Shavei Shomron, northwest of Nablus.
Soldiers found a gun in the suspect’s car, the IDF said.
A photo of the M-4 showed the weapon was replete with a scope and forward grip, which are commonly found on army weapons.
Most of the guns captured by IDF troops in the West Bank are homemade “Carlos,” whose street value is significantly lower than military issued weapons.
