Mazel tov! It’s a girl for Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. According to People, the engaged couple welcomed their daughter, their first child together, on Tuesday.

Kunis, 31, and Kutcher, 36, have been together since 2012 and became engaged this past February. A month later, they announced that they were expecting a baby.

While the couple mainly tried to guard their privacy this past year, Kunis did publicly share a few thoughts about being pregnant.

The Jewish actress told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she planned an epidural-free birth process, and W magazine that she intended to pull back from her acting career in favor of being a full-time mom, at least for a while.

“I have never wanted to be the person who only has business on her mind,” she said.

“To me, this job has always been a hobby that turned into a great profession, but I don’t eat and breathe acting. I’m sure Meryl Streep has a very different point of view. But I’m excited about being a full-time mom.”

We may not yet know the Kunis-Kutcher newborn’s name, but we can safely assume that it is not “Love Goblin,” which is how her mother humorously referred to her in a comedy sketch about pregnancy she presented on the Jimmy Kimmel show last June.

Social media commentators have been wondering about names for the baby, with one offering the tongue-in-cheek suggestion of Kabbalah, in honor of Kutcher’s known following of The Kabbalah Center.

Although the Hollywood couple’s focus this past year has been on preparing for the arrival of their daughter, Kunis has also been closely following political and military developments in Ukraine, the country of her birth.

In a brief Twitter exchange with The Times of Israel last March, Kunis said she still has extended family in Ukraine and finds the situation in that country heartbreaking.
