19-year-old stabbed to death in altercation in Jerusalem apartment

A 19-year-old was stabbed to death during an argument this evening in Jerusalem’s Nachlaot neighborhood, police and medics say.

He succumbed to his wounds after being taken to a local hospital in critical condition, according to Hebrew media reports.

Police say they opened an investigation into the incident and have set up roadblocks to locate the suspected perpetrators, who fled the scene.

Eyewitnesses told Ynet that the victim was stabbed inside an apartment, which a group of young men had rented for the weekend.

“I contacted the police several times,” a neighbor tells Ynet.

“On Thursday I told them that there were drugs, prostitution and a mess in the apartment,” they say, adding that police told them they could not do anything about it, despite several warnings of criminal activity.
