El Al plane makes emergency landing in Canada
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAn El Al flight from New York to Tel Aviv makes an emergency landing en route over Canada Sunday after passengers reportedly hear loud noises from the plane’s engines.
No one is reported hurt in the incident.
Flight 008 left New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, but was forced to land over Goose Bay in Canada.
The airline tells Hebrew media the pilots landed the plane due to a technical malfunction, and “El Al staff are working to repair the malfunction and to take care of the passengers.”
