Erdogan’s office confirms Russia apology
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleTurkish presidential sources confirm to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet that Erdogan apologized to Putin for the downing of a Russian warplane in November.
It remains unclear whether there was Israeli diplomacy involved in the detente between Russia and Turkey, but the apology came just after Israel and Turkey announced a deal to restore ties.
