Ex-Trump campaign chair Manafort pleads not guilty
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFormer Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates plead not guilty, following their arrest on charges related to conspiracy against the United States and other felonies. The charges are the first from the special counsel investigating possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Manafort and Gates appear before a federal judge in Washington, DC. They are charged with a combined 12 counts, including conspiracy to launder money, unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading FARA statements, false statements, and seven counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.
