Fox News has awarded Florida to Donald Trump with 98 percent of the state reporting.
Other outlets have waited on calling the state.
In 2000, networks called the state for George W. Bush twice, before rescinding them, twice. In the second instance, Fox was the first to call Florida for Bush, leading the other networks to follow suit.
“We’re not absolutely sure quite what to do next,” ABC anchor Peter Jennings said at the time, according to the Washington Post.
The state ended up being contested and was only decided by a massive court battle.
