IDF troops mistakenly enter Palestinian village, get PA escort to safety
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFour IDF troops mistakenly enter a Palestinian village in the northern West Bank, and are escorted to safety by Palestinian police in collaboration with the Defense Ministry’s Civil Administration, the army says.
One of the soldiers is very lightly wounded by rocks thrown at his vehicle as they were leaving the village of Anabta, east of Tulkarem.
The army does not detail how the soldiers came to enter the area, but previous such incidents occurred when troops relied on smartphone navigation apps.
“The incident is being investigated,” an army spokesperson says.
