Israeli who crossed into Gaza identified
The Israeli who crossed into the Gaza Strip on Tuesday is identified as Jouma’a Ibrahim Abu Ghanimeh, 19, of the unrecognized Bedouin village of Hashem Zana.
The teenager was in “emotional distress,” the Haaretz news site reports.
“He was irritated and didn’t want to work,” an unnamed relative is quoted as saying. “His brothers pressured him [to work] and that’s why he decided to leave. He doesn’t know any other area, and two days ago he went out with a herd of sheep, got close to the border and crossed it.”
