Knesset passes bill raising minimum wage to NIS 5,300
A bill raising the minimum monthly wage in Israel to NIS 5,300 passes unanimously in the Knesset.
The minimum wage had previously been set at NIS 5,000.
The measure passed with 59 votes in favor and none opposed.
Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon applauds the bill’s passage on Twitter, thanking “my friends from the coalition and the opposition.”
