PM’s office: Abbas claims on summit talks are bid to dodge blame

Benjamin Netanyahu’s office denies Mahmoud Abbas’s claim earlier today that the prime minister’s staff stopped contacting him over a potential summit.

“It isn’t true,” a source in the Prime Minister’s Office says. “It’s an attempt by Abbas to evade responsibility for the lack of talks. Even today, Netanyahu called on Abbas at Davos to come to negotiate without preconditions.”
