Police nab man who posed as security official, assaulted tourist
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePolice arrest an Arab resident of the Old City of Jerusalem for allegedly posing as a member of the security forces and sexually assaulting a female tourist.
The attack took place in the area of the Mount of Olives in East Jerusalem. The suspect who is in his 30s allegedly stopped the woman, told her he needed to check her ID and then assaulted her.
The woman complained to the police immediately after the attack, and the suspect was arrested. The investigation is ongoing, police say.
