Special ceremony at huppah remembers slain father, brother
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAs part of the traditional Jewish wedding service, ashes are sprinkled on the bridegroom’s forehead in remembrance of the two Temples.
At the Litman wedding, dirt was taken from the scene of the terror attack near Hebron, where Rabbi Yaakov Litman and 18-year-old Netanel Litman were killed, and “which absorbed their blood,” for the ceremony, the rabbi says.
The huppah comes to an end, and the two are married. Dancing breaks out as hundreds of wedding-goers escort the newlyweds out of the huppah.
