State prosecutor ends investigation of Jerusalem mayoral candidate Moshe Lion
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe State Attorney’s Office announces the closing of a corruption probe into Jerusalem mayoral candidate Moshe Lion.
Lion was questioned on suspicion of illegally transferring money to Interior Minister Aryeh Deri in exchange for the latter’s support in the previous mayoral election in 2013.
The State Attorney’s Office says in a statement that the evidence was not sufficient to prosecute. Moreover, the transfer of funds was done before Deri returned to public life in 2013.
