Underground gas tanks ignited by Gaza rocket finish burning

Firefighters have completed the cooling-off of underground gas tanks that ignited and created a massive blaze yesterday in Sderot after being hit by a rocket launched from Gaza, a spokesman for the fire service says.

The three tanks were allowed to burn their gas through the night under the watchful eye of firefighters.

The initial blaze Monday briefly set an adjacent bakery on fire, but firefighters were able to quickly gain control over that secondary blaze and prevent major damage.
