A man was stabbed to death in a fight that broke out near the Elyakim Junction on Mount Carmel, in northern Israel, on Saturday night.
A second person was moderately injured in the brawl, the Magen David ambulance service said, while media reports said several others may have been lightly hurt.
The wounded man, who medics said was about 20 years old, was taken to a gas station and left there for rescue services.
Medics treated him at the scene and loaded him into an ambulance to take him to the Rambam Medical Center in nearby Haifa.
On the way to the hospital, the ambulance encountered a vehicle where the medics found the dead man.

“Inside the car lay a young man of about 20, unconscious and without a pulse and suffering from multiple stab wounds,” medics Hanan Zohar and Lior Dostari said in a statement.
“We administered medical care and attempted advanced life support, at the end of which we were forced to declare him dead at the scene,” they said.
Police opened an investigation and were looking into suspicions that the brawl took place at an outdoor party in the area.

As a multimedia journalist, my job is to take the quality, fact-based journalism produced by The Times of Israel newsroom and make it accessible across every platform — from Instagram posts to podcasts to short-form videos.
This is how many, especially young people, consume news these days. But misinformation is rampant on social media. Our team at ToI produces accurate, responsible short-form reporting on Israel and the Jewish world.
If you believe in the importance of factual social media journalism, please consider joining our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community. Your financial support is essential to sustain responsible multimedia reporting.
