A man was stabbed to death in the central city of Holon, after getting into an argument with a motorized scooter driver as he crossed a street Wednesday.

Yuri Volkov, a 52-year-old from Bat Yam, was pronounced dead after being rushed to Wolfson Hospital with severe injuries, medics and police said.

According to police, Volkov — who worked as a healthcare aide at the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv — entered into a verbal altercation with the scooter driver as he crossed the street.

In a dashcam video of the incident, Volkov’s wife can be seen crossing the street while the crosswalk light appears to be green. The man on the moped attempts to cut her off as she crosses, leading Volkov to begin a verbal argument.

The attacker appears to swipe at Volkov with something in response, then quickly drives away.

Volkov takes a few steps forward to the halfway point of the crosswalk alongside his wife, and stands for a few moments before appearing to pass out.

Police were searching for the suspect, who fled the scene.

Volkov is survived by his wife, three children and a granddaughter.

The killing comes just weeks after a road rage incident that put a man in intensive care was caught on camera and shocked the nation.

In that incident, a motorcyclist used his helmet to hit a driver several times on the head on Tel Aviv’s Ayalon Highway, knocking the victim unconscious.

The man suffered skull fractures and intracranial bleeding and was hospitalized in intensive care, though his condition later improved.

The motorcyclist, Arik Greenfeld, was arrested and later charged with aggravated assault.
