Knesset approves a ‘stop Iranian nukes’ law
Under new legislation, a ministerial committee can impose sanctions on a foreign entity assisting Tehran to obtain weapons of mass destruction

The Knesset approved on Thursday new legislation giving ministers the power to levy sanctions against foreign companies that assist the Iranian nuclear program, Israeli website News1 reported.
Under the new Struggle Against the Iranian Nuclear Program Law, proposed by the government and debated in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, a ministerial panel can declare that a foreign entity is assisting the Iranian nuclear program, helping Iran to obtain weapons of mass destruction, or maintaining business ties with Iran.
Once declared as such, restrictions can be enforced limiting Israeli business and economic ties with the entity. Likewise, the such entities would be prohibited from enjoying economic incentives that come from Israel.
