Security forces arrested overnight Saturday-Sunday five Palestinians in the West Bank on suspicion of involvement in terror activities and rioting, the army said in a statement.
In addition, during an army operation in the West Bank city of Jenin, rioting broke out during which dozens of protesters set tires alight and threw rocks at security forces, the statement said. The Israel Defense Forces responded with crowd control methods.
There were no reports of injuries to security forces in the clashes.
A further three arrests were made in Jerusalem where two men and a teenager were detained on suspicion of throwing rocks and firing firecrackers at police units, security officials said.
