Hollywood actor David Arquette is planning to celebrate his bar mitzva at the Western Wall on Monday at the age of 41, only 28 years late.

Arquette, who landed in Tel Aviv over the weekend, is filming an episode of the travel show “Trippin'” in Israel, and decided to mark his trip to Israel with a bar mitzva at the Kotel, officiated by the Western Wall rabbi, Shmuel Rabinovitch.

The Arquette siblings were raised on a Virginia religious commune his parents co-founded that embraced aspects of Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam. His mother was raised an observant Jew, although she eschewed her religious roots, and his father was a convert to Islam.

The actor has reportedly never laid tefillin or read from the Torah, although he lights Hanukka candles with his daughter, according to media reports.

Best known for his marriage to actress Courteney Cox, Arquette played simple cop Dewey in the “Scream” franchise and starred in a number of indie films.

Arquette told the Jewish Journal in 2010: “I wanted a bar mitzva but didn’t have one as a kid.. I still may get one — maybe for my 40th birthday.” Mazel tov, David — you are only one year late!
