Amona residents agree to leave outpost peacefully

Residents of the Amona outpost have voted in favor of the proposal offered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which 24 families would be moved to an adjacent plot of land while the rest would be set up in nearby Ofra.

The government will request an extension for the evacuation notice, which the High Court is likely to accept.

In exchange, the residents of Amona will evacuate peacefully.

The residents voted 45 in favor, 25 opposed and two abstentions.
