Irish senate delays vote on bill banning settlement goods
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIreland’s senate delays voting on a bill outlawing goods from West Bank settlements.
During a two hour hearing on the legislation, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said the government opposes the bill and that Ireland should strive to be fair to both Israel and the Palestinians, public broadcaster RTE Ireland reports.
Netanyahu earlier strongly condemned the bill, saying its “sole purpose” was to support boycotts of Israel and harm the Jewish state.
