Mortar from Syria fired at Golan Heights; no injuries

A mortar shell was launched from Syria toward the Golan Heights, causing neither injury nor damage, according to the army.

The military says it seems to be errant fire from fighting across the border.

Troops are searching the area for the impact site of the shell, according to an army spokesperson.

Incoming rocket alert sirens in the area were not activated as the shell was heading toward an open field.
