Obama addresses the nation on Syria
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSpeaking from the White House, President Barack Obama outlines his argument for military action against the Assad regime, vows not to put American boots on the ground in Syria. Obama insists he prefers diplomatic solutions to the crisis.
Ahead of President Barack Obama’s speech, the Washington Post reported that 149 members of the House of Representatives opposed military strikes against the Assad regime, 102 were leaning towards no, 156 remained undecided and a mere 26 advocated strikes.
