Salah defiant after court nixes appeal
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe head of the Islamic Movement’s northern branch, Raed Salah, takes a defiant stance following the rejection of his appeal against an 11-month conviction for incitement to violence.
“Jerusalem is under occupation and we will not give up our veneration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” he says, according to the Walla news website.
“The US Secretary of State John Kerry gives legitimacy to the Zionist occupation of the mosque. When the court says we have no right to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and talks of incitement, we say that we will continue to defend Al-Aqsa in our own way, [and] we will win.”
