UN envoy urges Ban to battle body’s ‘structural’ hostility to Israel
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, uses his first meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to call on the organization to “uproot the structural hypocrisy and hostility against Israel from the UN,” according to a press release from Israel’s mission.
Danon also tells Ban that “the Israeli public perceives the UN as a biased institution against Israel,” the communique says.
“We need to build bridges between Israel and the United Nations, and to show to the world the true face of Israel,” he adds.
