US pushing for 3-way summit with Israel and PA — report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe United States is pushing for a trilateral peace summit with Israel and the Palestinian Authority, according to the Jordanian newspaper Alghad.
The report (Arabic) says that the US has invited both Israel and the PA but the Palestinian leadership has set two preconditions: Israel freeing Palestinian political prisoners and freezing settlement construction.
An unnamed PA source is quoted as saying, “We welcome any initiative to restart the diplomatic process but there are conditions that Israel needs to meet first.”
