A man who gave a Nazi salute and shouted “Heil Hitler” outside a kosher restaurant in London on Holocaust Remembrance Day was banned from the city district for one year.

Miroslav Ondrus, 33, a Slovakian national, was barred by a London magistrate’s court from the NW11 district of London, which includes the highly Jewish populated neighborhoods of Hampstead and Golders Green.

He also was sentenced to 180 hours of community service after admitting to two charges of racially or religiously aggravated harassment and one charge of assault by beating, Haaretz reported Thursday.

He performed the Nazi salute outside the White House Express restaurant in Golders Green on April 29 and then assaulted the restaurant’s manager.

Ondrus’s attorney said his client was drunk at the time and does not remember his actions.
