Teen, her boyfriend confess to killing her twin sister

Hours after an 18-year-old woman was stabbed to death at her Tel Aviv home on Thursday, her twin sister and the sister’s boyfriend confessed to the crime.

The sister had initially told police that her twin had received a phone call and stepped outside the apartment to answer it, at which point an assailant attacked her with a knife and gravely injured her before fleeing the scene.

However, police quickly found contradictions in the sister’s story. No incoming call was found on the victim’s phone around the time of the murder, and traces of blood were found inside the apartment, indicating a possible attempt to clean up the scene. Police later found the knife in the apartment.

The sister and her boyfriend were soon arrested and later confessed to the crime. Police believe the victim was murdered by the boyfriend, while her sister helped him and then assisted him in cleaning up the crime scene.

She then called emergency services to the house, located in Simtat Neta Street near Givatayim. She also sent text messages to her friends saying her sister had been attacked. When paramedics arrived it was too late to save the young woman, and they pronounced her dead at the scene.

A friend of the victim said the two sisters had been fighting over the last week, and had stopped talking to each other. “She didn’t tell me what they were fighting about,” she told Ynet news.
