Three soldiers lightly wounded in West Bank operation
IDF says troops in Qalandiya may have been hit by friendly fire, as 2 Palestinians killed when trying to ram soldiers with cars

Three soldiers were wounded by gunfire Tuesday night during an arrest operation in the Qalandiya refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.
During the operation, a Palestinian driver attempted to ram the soldiers with his car. Troops fired at him, killing him. Three soldiers were hit by gunfire during he incident, and the army said it was checking whether the soldiers were hit by Palestinian gunmen or by friendly fire.
The three suffered bullet wounds to their limbs, and were evacuated to hospital to receive treatment.
In a second incident, another driver attempted to run over soldiers in the refugee camp. He too was shot and killed. No troops were wounded in that instance.
Throughout the operation, troops clashed with dozens of rioters in the refugee camp.
Earlier, an Israeli Jew and a Palestinian resident of East Jerusalem were wounded when a coworker at a construction site attacked them in the central Israeli city of Modiin Tuesday afternoon. The attacker, identified as a Palestinian man, beat the two with a hammer in two separate attacks, moderately to seriously injuring them, according to police and rescue officials.
Fourteen people were injured Monday in a car-ramming attack in Jerusalem, including 18-month-old Yotam Sitbon, who was seriously wounded.
Three Israelis were lightly hurt on Monday evening when rocks were hurled at their car near the Beit Aryeh settlement in the central West Bank.
